Autumn is definitely here despite the cloud-filled sunny skies today. The darker months always equal a quieter more hibernation-like time for me. This morning I was reminded I need to remind myself of the things that make me feel up and happiest. Felting is right up there with yoga and cooking/baking bread. And one of the cuter, smaller and more fun things I like to make fit in with this theme of feeling uplifted. What could be more cheerful and up-lifting candy-colored felted garland? Bright, fanciful and just for fun.

I’m selling these mini strands for $8/piece or 3/$15 if you’re curious. I need to work a marketing miracle for these babies. My vision is kind of grand for them. Parties, weddings, bedrooms, nurseries, store windows, regular windows, and, of course, holidays. I think a couple sets of large garland would suit your Christmas tree this year *wink*

Until then, I hope you have a great weekend. My darling’s band Summer Babes is playing this weekend at The Wild Rose here in Seattle. This show is sure to be fantastic. If you’re in Seattle I highly recommend it, and if you do, buy their album and you’ll get a free t-shirt at the show. The shirts are hot, I know the artist who did the designs. (Me.)

Happy Friday!

Wedding decorations are something I would like to eventually do more of. Its an honor to be even a small part in someone’s wedding. For Meghann and Steve’s wedding I was asked to make three long strands of my felted garlands in colors coordinating with the bouquets and the bridesmaids’ ensembles. The colors are young, hip and playful much like Meghann and Steve.
