Curtis Steiner’s shop Souvenir never fails to present the most serene and beautiful, well, I want to say window displays but actually, everything about his store is just heavenly. There is a delicate touch, a balance of vintage, antique, new and unique that is absolute perfection.
Whew! I get lightheaded just thinking about this cute little shop in Ballard. If you are able, go to there, you will be awe stricken.

Seattle’s music scene is so great, especially right now. On any given night there are amazing musicians playing their hearts out. I love going out to live music and sometimes I starve myself of it for one reason or another. So, when I go out I’m so blown away sometimes and cherish every moment. Music is such a power.
Two weekends ago I went up to check out Theoretics up on top of Queen Anne at The Paragon. Having only heard the musicians play in the parent group Vunt Foom I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was told it would be different. One of the band members, an acquaintance of mine, Art Brown writes on this blog and is a fabulous musician. Well, actually, the entire group is made of of all fabulous musical artists. These guys are off the hook! So cool. Queen Anne is an interesting place to go hear music in that it is a very diverse mixture of people. Seattle locals don’t hear about the music scene on Queen Anne as particularly “happening” but the vibe at The Paragon felt so alive and natural. Not to mention the delicious hamburger I shared with Henry
Here are a couple of shots I got from this show:

An Active Listener, Amanda Meyer, 2009

MC Diztortion, Amanda Meyer, 2009
Once again, if you’re in Seattle, be sure to check out this fabulously cool group.

Pictures are being held captive on the computer at home where the internet has not yet ventured. So, I decided I’d inject some of the outside internet world into my blog. I’ll start where I’ve been starting. On a typical day when I have a chance to get some free wifi I have started my rounds at Jeff Hamada’s Booooooom.com Its a great site that gathers great art, photography, design and other awesome stuff from around the world. I’m always inspired when I leave. Defintely. Go check it out.
Here’s the result of one of the site’s latest collaborative projects. I’m so in love with this music combined with the individuals interpretations of the project.
